You’re Heart
It can be broken
It can also be filled with love
It can take your life
It can also make you healthy
It can be overlooked as a thing in your body
Or it can be the most important thing in your body
Either way you look at it, it will always be a part of you

World Cup
This summer I look forward to South Africa and the World Cup, the First Day of it beginning tomorrow. I plan on this summer being hailed with excitement and sensational plays in South Africa. Even better I’ll watch it with friends and make it a blast.
On Friday tomorrow I will be going to my friend’s house to at 10a.m in the morning to watch the first game of the World Cup. Not only will I be doing that I will also in between games playing soccer in his backyard. What I’m really looking forward to is the USA vs England game. That is later on in the day. I believe this will be a well played match. Based off my knowledge of soccer and depending on what kind of day it is for both teams mostly me wishing for the USA to have a good day. Considering England is favored to win the World Cup this summer. All this though in just one day is insane and awesome all at the same time. Imagining that for a whole month my mouth drops in amazement. Either way I know I’m going to have the best first portion of the summer in my life just from this world event the World Cup in South Africa.

Promotion
When sitting in a gymnasium with tons of people and it’s your Eighth grade promotion you may be like wow there’s a lot of people; for me it was different, it was beyond on that.
Sitting in the white fold out chairs at promotion, I found myself thinking and looking around. I wasn’t quite sure what I was looking at but I know what I was thinking about. What I was thinking about was wow I only have 4 more years of assigned school even though I do plan on college. I looked back at all the years and notice that was 10 ten years of school and my life that have gone by. Thinking about that shocked me and made me realize that I will becoming more independent in these next few years which scares me at sometimes. At the same moment it makes feel good knowing that I can be my own independent person as an adult. From promotion I realized that from here on out in life, I have to be like an adult and act more mature. And I think high school will be the perfect place to do that.

Six Flags
Driving from your school to Six Flags with your friends on coach buses is a blast; The one that we all took into consideration is what is the rain going to do? Well what it did was make six flags better than advertised.
Once we had gotten tickets from one of our teachers. Mine being Mr.Roehl by coincidence, we were free like animals in the wild. The first ride we decided to conquer was Raging Bull, and boy that was blast with the rain. Being in the first row perhaps makes it better and when you reach the climax of your ride up you hear the unnecessary screams of people getting ready to down(quite funny actually). Going down on the first drop of the Raging Bull is what makes it the best to be quite honest. When finished with the ride you look over at your friend and you see his hair like you have never seen it before which in other words is extremely amusing only knowing you’ll have that on him the rest of your life. The second ride I went was Batman, once again that was a blast with hardly a wait we go on in no time. One thing I came to realize also that the time flies by fast in line when you’re talking with your friends as well. The Batman was a great ride a ride where you are strapped in and are not sitting. Even though the ride was still 15 seconds or so it definitely had the twist and turns to make it a legit ride. Our third ride was the V2, now when hearing about this terrifying ride from stories of my teacher Mrs. Reagles which I find humorous all the way to my friends stories, that are no different. Looking at makes it worse, but once you get on the nerves start to kick in and their funny little employed goes, “3-2”, and before you know it your off. After that it was time for lunch.
The lunch at six flags wasn’t bad but it wasn’t an all you can eat fresh food. That may happen to be the difference between having a stomach ache and throwing up after your first ride after lunch. Neitherof those happened but that’s the kind of food it was in my opinion. After eating we set out on a journey to the Superman. It was the longest wait of the day being 30 minutes but that’s because it was the front row we were talking about here. The wait was worth, and the ride was a blast, the one thing I disliked, was that it rushes all the blood to head and makes you dizzy and feels sick; set that aside and your fine, just like you would be with any other ride. We decided to set out on another Journey and to fill you in this we consist of Ben Tenpas, John Conroy, Alex Zabel, and me. This next mission was to the Demon, nothing intense of course; although being in the front row with the hardest down pour made it a lot better it is probably the ride for kids in the grades of 3rd at the youngest and 6th at the oldest even though there is not really an exact age limit on things. We rapped things up with the American Eagle and the Viper, they were both really fun, but when riding them it feels like you’re going to go off track; other than that you get air born and the short is wait. The viper was more of a modern day wooden roller coaster and was blast this was the ride where you got air born all the time because the seatbelts were never checked by the employees but they do have one of those bars you push down but not all the way. Being teenagers we seized every opportunity that we could to get air born which made it fun to rap the day up with.
Six Flags was an enjoyable time even on a rainy day which somehow made it better. On this rainy day I think I got six flags better than advertised because the rain was a factor, but also because there was no wait definitely weighed on to that everlasting fun. The only flaw there may have been was that sometimes rides would stop because it was raining to hard, but based off a quote by Vivian Green saying, “Life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass… It’s about learning to dance in the rain” which is exactly what I did and found it a blast.

Memorial Day Weekend
On a road trip to Iowa there really isn’t much to see unless you find looking at cornfields fascinating; to be honest the average human doesn’t. But when you get to your destination, in Burlington, Iowa there is something to see. That happens to consist of the nice hotel water park, but my favorite part of Burlington Iowa was the Snake Alley Criterium bike race.
The Snake Alley bike race happens to be the 5th hardest Critarium race in the United States. Competing in this bike race, were people from Denmark, Argentina, Ukraine, and of course our very own Americans. One of those Americans happens to be my very good family friend Eric Marcotte, a biker that has recently in the past year merged to the top of Criterium Bike Racing. And in this race he got third. May I also add that he has placed top three in many races out west with his team Pista Palace. Here in Iowa he was a lone ranger, and in biking it’s not easy to always to do. In another race in Muscatine Iowa, he was in a bigger field (More bikers), and won it all. But what fascinates me most is how humble he is as a person. Getting first place he didn’t have much to say; whereas guys that have been racing since they were teenagers wet their pants if they get third and go on and on about the race when they’re on the podium. In other words Eric Marcotte I look at as a ro-model, and having him as a family friend makes it even better.
In Iowa there really isn’t much, but on Memorial Day Weekend there is something, bike races where competitors go at it. Luckily I was able to witness it all with my own eyes.

Career Days
I look at life and try to see what is has given me, and what I need to work for. From career days I have seen that I am given a great education from teachers to take advantage of which I haven’t; What I’ve seen from UWM and guest speakers is that what I need to work for is a college education to get me the job I desire.
At UWM I was completely blown away by the campus and what it has to offer, which is definitely something I would take advantage of. I was thrilled by how many things you can get a degree in, because I look at my life and know not everything will work out. Having a degree in more than one subject would give me something to fall back on. Thanks to career days I was able to get an idea of what areas I want to work in when I grow up which would be architecture, coaching, and engineering. Fortunately there are many different ways of coaching and engineering which gives me a variety of jobs to choose from. Now with career days over I am glad I have been able to figure out what I want to be when I graduate from high school and college, and also maybe where I want to go to college.

Sports/Motivation/Athletes
They require hard work
don’t expect it to be easy
Don’t expect showing up to practice will make you the best
what makes you the best is extra practice and extra training
What makes the best work so hard is the desire and will to be the best
motivation alone though is one component that sets apart the best from the great
Motivation comes from inside you
it comes from people criticizing you all the way to your family
if you don’t have motivation it’s not easy to be successful in general
But if you get to where the great are
then maybe you have chance at being the best
Then again it simply requires the components that are above to be the best
Perhaps with your caliber though maybe even more hard work is required
